Jo Gilbert was who had a successful Hollywood career. Gilbert began Gilbert's acting career appearing in various films, such as the adventurous drama "Hurricane Island" (1951) with Jon Hall, the Cary Grant dramatic adaptation "People Will Talk" (1951) and the comedy "Too Young to Kiss" (1951) with June Allyson. Gilbert also appeared in the drama "The Girl in White" (1952) with June Allyson and the dramatic adaptation "Julius Caesar" (1953) with Marlon Brando. Gilbert continued to act in productions like "The French Line" (1954) with Jane Russell, "Good Morning, Miss Dove" (1955) and the Lana Turner drama "The Prodigal" (1955). Gilbert also appeared in "The Big Fisherman" (1959). Gilbert had a number of different projects under Gilbert's belt in the nineties, including "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" (1993), "The Harpist" with Christien Anholt (1997) and "The Second Jungle Book - Mowgli and Baloo" with James Williams (1997). Gilbert's credits also expanded to "The Brylcreem Boys" (1999). Gilbert most recently produced "Closing the Ring" (2007) with Shirley MacLaine.
