Biography
Derek Fowlds rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Fowlds began his acting career with roles in such films as "We Joined the Navy" (1962), "Tamahine" (1963) and "Frankenstein Created Woman" (1967). He also appeared in "The Smashing Bird I Used to Know" (1969). His film career continued throughout the seventies in productions like the horror feature "Horror On Snape Island" (1972) with Bryant Haliday and "The 'Copter Kids" (1976) with Sophie Neville. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Yes, Minister" (BBC 1, 1979-1983). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "The Settling of the Sun" (PBS, 1989-1990). Fowlds more recently acted in the dramatic comedy "Over the Hill" (1992) with Olympia Dukakis.
