Biography
Effie Ellsler was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Ellsler began her career with roles in "Old Ironsides" (1926), "The Actress" (1928) and "Woman Trap" (1929). Ellsler then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in "Daddy Long Legs" (1931) with Janet Gaynor, the comedy adaptation "The Front Page" (1931) with Adolphe Menjou and "The Chief" (1933). She also appeared in "The Girl in 419" (1933) and "Black Fury" (1935). Later in her career, Ellsler acted in the dramatic adaptation "Camille" (1937) with Greta Garbo. Ellsler passed away in October 1952 at the age of 97.
