Jimmie Davis brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Davis's early music mostly appeared in high-octane action films like "The Ninth Configuration" (1985) with Stacy Keach and the Rutger Hauer film "Wanted Dead or Alive" (1987). Though known first for his music, Davis also acted in "Country Night of the Stars II" (NBC, 1977-78) and "Country Music Hall of Fame 25" (CBS, 1991-92). In the nineties, Davis's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Mel Gibson dramatic adventure "Forever Young" (1992), the fantastical comedy "Michael" (1996) with John Travolta and the Matt Damon dramatic adaptation "John Grisham's The Rainmaker" (1997). His work was also in the dramatic adaptation "Primary Colors" (1998) with John Travolta. Davis's music was also featured in the mystery "The Dead Girl" (2006) with Brittany Murphy, the dramatic adaptation "Believe In Me" (2007) with Bruce Dern and the Christina Ricci dramatic adaptation "Penelope" (2008). His music was also featured in the James McAvoy box office smash action movie "Wanted" (2008) and "Trouble with the Curve" (2012) with Clint Eastwood. Davis's music was most recently used in the comedy "Last Vegas" (2013) with Michael Douglas.
