Adrienne d'Ambricourt was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, d'Ambricourt appeared in such films as "The Humming Bird" (1924), "Footlights and Fools" (1929) and the dramatic adaptation "The Trial of Mary Dugan" (1929) with Norma Shearer. She also appeared in "The Bad One" (1930), the Gary Cooper dramatic adaptation "Design For Living" (1933...

Adrienne d'Ambricourt was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, d'Ambricourt appeared in such films as "The Humming Bird" (1924), "Footlights and Fools" (1929) and the dramatic adaptation "The Trial of Mary Dugan" (1929) with Norma Shearer. She also appeared in "The Bad One" (1930), the Gary Cooper dramatic adaptation "Design For Living" (1933) and "Disgraced" (1933). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in "The Eagle and the Hawk" (1933), "Goin' to Town" (1935) and the Gary Cooper romantic fantasy "Peter Ibbetson" (1935). She also appeared in "Valiant Is the Word For Carrie" (1936) and "Mama Steps Out" (1937). Toward the end of her career, she tackled roles in the mystery adaptation "Charlie Chan in City in Darkness" (1939) with Sidney Toler, "Pack Up Your Troubles" (1939) with Jane Withers and "Paris Underground" (1945). She also appeared in "Calcutta" (1947) and the adaptation "The Purple Mask" (1955) with Tony Curtis. d'Ambricourt last acted in the Gene Kelly musical "Les Girls" (1957). d'Ambricourt passed away in December 1957 at the age of 79.
