Toinette, alias "The Humming Bird," is leader of a gang of apache thieves in the Montmartre section of Paris. American reporter Randall Carey falls in love with her. When she hears that Carey has been badly wounded, she escapes and is reunited with him. Carey recovers, and Toinette receives the War Cross for her work in recruiting some heroic soldiers.
