Ethel Smith was an actress who founded her entertainment career success with roles in film. Smith began her career with roles in the musical comedy "Bathing Beauty" (1944) with Red Skelton and "George White's Scandals" (1945) with Joan Davis. Later, Smith acted in "Cuban Pete" (1946), "Easy to Wed" (1946) and "Hollywood Star Revue" (ABC, 1948-49). Later in her career, Smith acted in the Roy Rogers animated picture "Melody Time" (1948). Smith passed away in May 1996 at the age of 86.
