Synopsis
In the small town of Cederville, Joe Morgan loses his gin mill and other property to Simon Slade, who then becomes a vice lord. Morgan becomes a drunkard as a result. Slade is also responsible for the downfall of other respectable townsfolk. When Slade throws a glass at Morgan's head, it hits Morgan's little daughter instead and she dies. Morgan pursues Slade, who also dies. The deaths lead Morgan to change, and after he stops drinking, he is elected mayor

The film was shot at the Colored Players' Film Corp. studio in Philadelphia. A license for exhibition in New York state was granted on December 27, 1926, according to information in the NYSA, although an exact release date has not been determined. According to a California Eagle news item, the film had its western premiere on October 28, 1928 in Los Angeles.
