Ebbe Roe Smith was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. To break into the world of acting, Smith held roles in films like "Brubaker" (1980), "Resurrection" (1980) with Ellen Burstyn and "I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can" (1982). He also appeared in the TV movie "Special Bulletin" (NBC, 1982-83). He had an early role on the television special "Steel Collar Man" (CBS, 1984-85). His film career continued throughout the eighties in productions like "Outrageous Fortune" (1987) with Shelley Long, "The Big Easy" (1987) and "Fatal Beauty" (1987). He also appeared in the action flick "Big Bad Mama II" (1988) with Angie Dickinson. Recently, he tackled roles in "Falling Down" (1993), "Floundering" (1994) with James LeGros and the Dustin Hoffman crime flick "Mad City" (1997). Most recently, Smith acted on "Grimm" (NBC, 2011-17).
