Biography
Chuck Roberson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Roberson's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "Sign of the Pagan" (1954) with Jeff Chandler, the James Stewart dramatic adventure "The Far Country" (1955) and the Lana Turner drama "The Prodigal" (1955). He also appeared in the John Wayne western adventure "The Searchers" (1956), the western "Seven Men From Now" (1956) with Randolph Scott and "Forty Guns" (1957). His film career continued throughout the fifties and the sixties in productions like the adaptation "The Wonderful Country" (1959) with Robert Mitchum, the Jeffrey Hunter mystery "Sergeant Rutledge" (1960) and the historical film "The Alamo" (1960) with John Wayne. In the latter half of his career, he continued to act in the John Wayne drama "The Sons of Katie Elder" (1965), the dramatic adaptation "El Dorado" (1966) with John Wayne and the comedy "The Scalphunters" (1968) with Burt Lancaster. He also appeared in "The Undefeated" (1969) with John Wayne. Roberson was most recently credited in the Anthony Edwards adventure "Miracle Mile" (1989). Roberson passed away in June 1988 at the age of 69.
