J C Nugent was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. C Nugent worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Alibi" with Chester Morris (1929), "Love in the Rough" (1930) starring Robert Montgomery and "Navy Blues" with William Haines (1929). He also contributed to "The Poor Nut" (1927) starring Jack Mulhall. He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the comedy "Remote Control" (1930) with William Haines, the crime flick "The Big House" (1930) with Chester Morris and the musical "They Learned About Women" (1930) with Bessie Love. Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in "The Millionaire" (1931), "A Star Is Born" (1937) with Janet Gaynor and "Stand-In" (1937). He also appeared in the Robert Taylor mystery "This Is My Affair" (1937). C Nugent more recently acted in the Martha Raye comedy adaptation "Give Me a Sailor" (1938). C Nugent passed away in April 1947 at the age of 79.
