Frankie Marvin was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Frankie Marvin was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Marvin's earliest roles were in film, including the Gene Autry musical "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" (1935), the Gene Autry musical "Guns and Guitars" (1936) and the Gene Autry musical "The Singing Cowboy" (1936). He also appeared in "Undersea Kingdom" (1936) and "Boots and Saddles" (1937) with Gene Autry. He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the musical "Public Cowboy No. 1" (1937) with Gene Autry, "The Old Corral" (1937) with Gene Autry and the musical "Yodelin' Kid From Pine Ridge" (1937) with Gene Autry. He also appeared in the western "Gold Mine in the Sky" (1938) with Gene Autry and "Man From Music Mountain" (1938). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the musical "The Old Barn Dance" (1938) with Gene Autry, the western "Under Western Stars" (1938) with Roy Rogers and the western "Colorado Sunset" (1939) with Gene Autry. He also appeared in "Blazing Sun" (1950). Marvin more recently acted in the Gene Autry musical "The Old West" (1952). Marvin passed away in January 1985 at the age of 81.
