Noel Madison was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Biography

Noel Madison was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Madison's earliest roles were in film, including "The Doorway to Hell" (1930), "Little Caesar" (1930) and the Grant Withers dramatic adaptation "Sinner's Holiday" (1930). He also appeared in "The Star Witness" (1931), the Howard Phillips dramatic adaptation "The Last Mile" (1932) and "Me and My Gal" (1932) with Spencer Tracy. He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the George Arliss dramatic adaptation "The House of Rothschild" (1934), the James Cagney crime flick "G-Men" (1935) and "My Marriage" (1935). He also appeared in "The Girl Who Came Back" (1935). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "Charlie Chan in City in Darkness" (1939) with Sidney Toler, "A Shot in the Dark" (1941) and the dramatic comedy "Footsteps in the Dark" (1941) with Errol Flynn. He also appeared in the mystery "Ellery Queen's Penthouse Mystery" (1941) with Ralph Bellamy and the adventure "A Desperate Chance For Ellery Queen" (1942) with William Gargan. Madison more recently acted in "The Black Raven" (1943). Madison passed away in January 1975 at the age of 78.
