Biography
Denice Kumagai was widely known for her acting on the big screen. She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Children of Divorce" (NBC, 1980-81) and "The Room Upstairs" (CBS, 1986-87). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "M*A*S*H" (CBS, 1972-1983). Kumagai also contributed her voice to characters in "The Simpsons" (Fox, 1989-). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Columbo: Butterflies in Shades of Grey" (ABC, 1993-94). In the nineties, she acted in the Harrison Ford blockbuster action film "Clear and Present Danger" (1994). In the early 2000s and the 2010s, Kumagai lent her talents to projects like "A Man Apart" with Vin Diesel (2003), the Ioan Gruffudd and Jessica Alba hit "Fantastic Four" (2005) and "Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection" (2012) starring Tyler Perry. Her credits also expanded to "Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas" (2013) starring Tyler Perry and "Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" with Jurnee Smollett (2013). Most recently, Kumagai worked on "Tyler Perry's The Single Moms Club" (2014) with Nia Long.
