Synopsis
Nicky Black, a talented pop singer, is the leader of a youth club in the slum section of London. Unknown to the other members of the club is the fact that Nicky is the son of a millionaire real estate tycoon who plans to buy up the slum area and erect a huge office building there. Nicky learns of this plan and encourages his friends to raise funds for purchasing the property by putting on a teenager musical in a dilapidated theater. Nicky's unscrupulous father, however, outwits them by buying the theater. Undaunted, the youngsters find another theater and start promoting their show by broadcasting samples of Nicky's singing over a pirate television channel. Mr. Black again tries to interfere. A tough member of the youth club attempts to abduct him, but Nicky rescues his father and reaches the theater in time to make the matinee a success. Now proud of his son, Mr. Black promises to finance for Nicky and his friends a new and better youth club.
