Synopsis

In Chicago, Bonnie Shea is about to leave for an Arizona ranch bought by her brother Eddie. Eddie's gambling has involved him with Grant, a gangster, who forces him to hide the money stolen in a bank robbery in Bonnie's luggage. At the ranch, foreman Dan Caswell and cowboy Reasonin' Bates are disappointed by the news that the ranch has been sold, as they were hoping to buy it themselves. They are further surprised to learn that the new owner is the attractive Bonnie. The other ranch hands are enchanted by Bonnie and soon dress up to impress her. When Reasonin' refuses Bonnie's order to put on fancy-dress and quits, she plays him for several months' pay, using loaded dice. She wins, and Reasonin' is forced to remain. Later, Bonnie tricks Reasonin' into taking her to a dance. The couple are interrupted by Grant and his henchmen, however, who order her back to the ranch. There they retrieve the stolen money and, because the money is still too hot to spend, the gangsters force Bonnie to sell the ranch to Reasonin' and Dan. The deal is interrupted when federal agents arrive in town in search of the gangsters. Grant abducts Bonnie and shoots and wounds Eddie. Eddie warns Reasonin' that the gangsters are on their way. With the help of the other cowboys, Reasonin' kills Grant, captures the gangsters and rescues Bonnie. Later, Reasonin' and Bonnie marry.
