Synopsis
Railway driver Toru Takishima has worked everyday without thinking about anything else, when he realizes that he is 59 years old with only one month to go for mandatory retirement. His wife Sawako was his back bone as a faithful housewife. The couple prepares to start a new life in their retirement years. Suddenly Sawako declares that she will work again as a nurse. She quit her job prior to their marriage. Toru doesn't understand his wife's desire to go back to work. The crack in their relationship gets wider and Sawako starts thinking about a divorce.
