Biography
Tomokazu Miura was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Miura's earliest roles were in film, including "Hearts in Mud" (1978), "Toi Ashita" (1979) and "Kiri-no-hata" (1979). He also appeared in "Ogon No Paatonaa" (1979), "Hoito Rabu" (1980) and the drama "Typhoon Club" (1988) with Yuichi Mikami. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Kojika Monogatari" (1991), the Masahiro Motoki fantasy "The Mystery of Rampo" (1995) and "M/other" (2000). He also appeared in "Yawarako na Hoo" (2001). In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the crime drama "The Matsugane Potshot Affair" (2007) with Hirofumi Arai, the comedy adaptation "Bloom in the Shade" (2008) with Aya Hirayama and the foreign "Heaven's Door" (2009) with Tomoya Nagase. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Shizumanu Taiyô" (2009) with Ken Watanabe and the Toshiyuki Nishida drama "Star Watching Dog" (2011). Most recently, Miura acted in the Takeshi Kitano action picture "Outrage Beyond" (2013).
