Brief Synopsis

Based on the #1 NY Times best selling book by Patricia Cornwell, In Charlotte, North Carolina, Police Chief Judy Hammer and her deputy Virginia West are desperate to solve the latest crisis: a serial killer is specializing in out-of-town businessmen. While Hammer struggles with the city politics and a depressed husband, West contends with wunderkind journalist and volunteer cop Andy Brazil, who is on assignment to write about police activity, having impressed his editor with his strong work ethic and nose for compelling stories.
