Synopsis

A pair of struggling composers (Morgan and Cole) stumble into a gimmick which involves the passing off of tapes played backward as original music by a long-lost composer. Along the way, they encounter an aspiring French chanteuse (Mylene Nicole Demongeot) and provide her with a successful audition for bandleader Ted Heath, who plays himself. The Heath band appears in several production numbers (including "Hawaiian War Chant", which features drummer Ronnie Verrell) as well as in the recording studio. Perhaps four teenaged Liverpool lads were inspired by this film to incorporate the backward-playing tape techniques into several of their own hit recordings over a decade later!
