Synopsis
Sabina is a thirty-year-old woman whose life is missing male companionship. This deeply worries her mother, who tries to find her daughter an eligible candidate for marriage. The whole situation is overseen by an eccentric grandmother who can see through any secret. The tenement house where the three women live is visited by consecutive admirers, but no one catches Sabina's interest. Suddenly, a mysterious man named Bronislaw appears out of nowhere and causes a series of surprising events that uncover the wicked side of the women. The story is set in two different time frames: one in the 1950s, the other showing the contemporary life of Sabina and her son Michal.
