Synopsis

The life of opera diva Irela is traced from her teen-age days, as she tries to break into show business. Under the influence of her manager Kober, she forsakes love for the benefit of her successful career. Finally, she dies in her backstage dressing room, as she hears the audience cheering another, younger singer performing in her place.
