Synopsis
Fashion model Carol Halston visits financier Paul Heindrik to inquire about a withdrawal of £7,000 made by her sister before her suicide. Although Heindrik denies receiving the money, his secretary discovers an incriminating bank slip and attempts to blackmail the financier through her ex-convict boyfriend, Ross. When Ross is fatally injured by a hit-and-run driver, a Scotland Yard investigation focuses on Heindrik, who is revealed to be the murderer of Carol's sister.
