Barbara Windsor was going to appear in this film, but once she had read the script and had seen a few scenes already filmed, she declined to take part, as she described the film as a "porn movie". Kenneth Williams said that he saw nothing in it which he would describe as "porn".
The title had extra 'n' in it to avoid copyright problems with the Emmanuelle movie series.
