Synopsis
When Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Powell sends an innocent man to prison for the murder of a gambler, the man's sister, Marion Courtney, has herself committed to a women's prison in order to procure evidence to save her brother. Unaware of Marion's identity, Jeffrey, who is in love with Marion, suspects she is romantically involved with the man she is trying to save. While in prison, Marion gets close to Evelyn "Duchess" Thane, the girl friend of the crook who holds the needed evidence. After she starts a fire in the prison and escapes, Marion secures information to save her brother. Following an automobile chase in which all involved parties converge at the police station, Marion confesses her relationship to the prisoner, whom she now frees, and Jeffrey's heart is saved.
