In the near future, zombies rule the world, and human society has restructured to adapt to the new reality. In a protected city ruled by the powerful Kaufman (Dennis Hopper), the upper class have the usual privileges living in fancy high rise buildings, while the poor people live on the streets. Riley (Simon Baker) and Cholo (John Leguizamo) belong to an elite team that brings supplies (food, medicine) to the city using a heavy truck called the "Dead Reckoning". (designed by Riley) When Cholo is betrayed by Kaufman, he steals the "Dead Reckoning", and Kaufman requests that Riley gets it back. But the dead are smarter and organized under the leadership of Big Daddy (Eugene Clark).
