Synopsis

Jim Kirkham, a wealthy young chemist and collector of curios, is in love with Eve Martin, the daughter of a gem collector. At a reception in her home, a fabulous gem is exhibited, and as a result the gem is lost in a series of strange occurrences. Jim and Eve set out to notify the police, but after a wild ride they end up at the home of a mysterious stranger known as Satan. They encounter fantastic characters and are befriended by a dwarf. After a masked ball, they are whisked away by minions of Satan who demand the jewel and threaten to torture Eve. The couple are separated but are reunited by a series of adventures that bring them to the brink of insanity.
