Synopsis

When a young American physician and his brother have an auto accident in a foreign country, the doctor catches a glimpse of a beautiful princess, whose uncle rules the country, and falls in love. In another country, the prince, who looks just like the doctor, chases a seductress. After the doctor overhears officers of a revolutionary army plot to put the prince on the throne, the revolutionaries mistake the doctor for the prince, and he agrees to kill the king and take the throne. After the doctor subdues the king with a drug injection, he tricks guards of the supposed body and hides the king in a monastery. When the doctor is captured and tortured by the revolutionaries, the princess rides to rescue him, but she is herself imprisoned in a hunting lodge. The doctor, in turn, rescues the princess after fighting a large group of men. When the revolutionaries learn that the real prince died while fighting over the seductress, they plan to burn the palace, but the doctor kills two revolutionary leaders, and the revolt is stopped. The king abdicates, the country becomes a republic, and the princess marries the doctor.
