Synopsis

Zalmon Pinsker, a good-hearted tailor eager to land a clothing contract with the Allies in Europe, is an easy target for a group of crooks posing as foreign buyers. The crooks commission Zalmon to make a large number of army coats, but after he delivers them, the police arrest the gang, and Zalmon is left with dozens of coats and no money to show for them. Then, Zalmon's young friend, Bob Deering, suggests that the coats can be sold just as easily on the home market as on the foreign one, and following his advice, Zalmon makes a fortune.

Notes

This marked the film debut of Jewish comedian Barney Bernard. Samuel Tauber, who wrote the story, was previously associated with Bernard, as were Lester Bernard and Mrs. Moskowitz.
