Synopsis
Paul, Keith, and Anne, vacationing in Brittany, scoff at the local gypsies' stories about Count Sinistre, a vampire executed in the 16th century and later returned to life. In 1800 the count married Tania, a young gypsy woman whom he killed and then raised from the dead. Keith goes to explore some local caves and is found dead. Later a handsome Frenchman and his wife come to console Anne. While standing with the Frenchman beside a lake, Anne notices that he casts no reflection: he is Count Sinistre himself. Shortly afterwards, Anne's body is found in the lake. The police call it suicide, but Paul decides to investigate. The bodies of Anne and Keith disappear from the coffins en route to England, and a scientist whom Paul consults is subsequently killed in his laboratory. Seeking further information, Paul meets Karen, a model, who is soon abducted by Count Sinistre. Paul manages to uncover Sinistre's scheme, and, upon returning to Brittany, he unmasks the evil count and saves Karen. The count, frustrated and defeated, trips over a cemetery cross, ages rapidly, and dies.
