Synopsis

Demolitions expert Davy Cooper is hired by master crook Adolf Carter to blow open a safe in a bank robbery. Carter's gang gains entry to the bank by disguising themselves as doctors and tunneling in from the hospital next door, but police raid the premises, and Davy is sent to prison for five years. Upon his release Davy vows to reform, and he is employed in a seaside factory owned by McKillup, a swindler who has cheated most of his neighbors by selling them shares in the town and falsely promising future profits. Davy recruits his old gang into posing as American army officers intent on building a rocket base in the area; McKillup buys back the land from the investors and is ruined financially when the gang blows up the town. The United States government begrudgingly promises to repair the destruction, and Davy returns to jail.
