Synopsis
Nell Bradley, whose father owns a bar in a temperance town, is scorned by the townspeople, but the local minister, Rev. Charles Alden, is attracted to her. One day, a salesman, intending to attack a young woman, buys drinks for her in Bradley's bar until she becomes intoxicated. Nell convinces the bartender to rescue the girl, but the minister, upon entering, imagines that Nell is responsible for the girl's condition. Later, he discovers the truth and offers to send Nell to school, promising to wait for her until she returns.
