Synopsis

This time capsule captures the vibrant energy of one of rock's most remarkable moments. On December 10, 1968, and the early morning hours of the 11th, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Dirty Mac (John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell & Keith Richards), Yoko Ono, Jethro Tull, Marianne Faithfull and Taj Mahal got together in a television studio in North London to record a film that has not been seen or heard for twenty-eight years until now. "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" captures the delirious optimism of an era. Depending on your point of view it was either the high point in the history of the cosmo or a period of mass hallucination (or both). But call it what you will, for a brief moment it seemed that rock 'n' roll would inherit the earth.
