Synopsis
A myriad of vignettes build up an overall picture of Russia past and present, and its fantasy image of itself. Characters are introduced sometimes for a sequence, sometimes a brief moment, but each are linked somehow; by a shot containing both, by a memory or a common link. Some of the characters include a hit man, gangsters who are shot before our eyes, a rich couple, a princess in a medieval monastery and a dog happy with his master.
