Vladimir Ilyin was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Ilyin began his acting career with roles in such films as "Zashchitnik Sedov" (1988), "Sukiny Djeti" (1991) and "Menialy" (1992). He also appeared in the dramatic period piece "Zatyeryanny V Sibri" (1992) with Anthony Andrews, "Burnt By the Sun" (1995) with Nikita Mikhalkov and the comedy adaptation "The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin" (1995) with Gennadi Nazarov. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Dyen Polnoluniya" (1998), "Strastnoi Boulevard" (1999) and "The Barber of Siberia" (1999) with Julia Ormond. He also appeared in "The Stringer" (2000) and the Vladimir Mashkov dramatic adaptation "Russki Bunt" (2001). Recently, he tackled roles in "Turetskii Gambit" (2005), "Rabbit Over the Void" (2006) and the foreign "+1" (2008) with Madlen Dzhabrailova.
