Synopsis

A group of San Franciscans, blacks and whites, take a 3-day cross-country bus trip to participate in the historic "March on Washington" in the summer of 1963. Ideas, comments, and arguments of the riders regarding the state of civil rights and racial integration are recorded, as well as the singing of inspirational and folk songs. The Charles Franklin family gives an introduction, and the rest of the film consists of recorded conversations and a final scene of the mass rally on the Washington Monument grounds.
