Synopsis
Marine Sgt. Steve Riley is returning to the States to box Army Cpl. Jim Sharkey for the championship. Aboard ship, Steve meets a poor Russian boy named Ugo who has no family, and Steve takes him into the service as a sort of mascot, calling him U. S. Smith. After Ugo saves Steve's life, the sergeant decides to give him a good education, agreeing to throw the fight to obtain the money for his plan. Ugo begs him not to do so, and Steve, after seeing Sharkey wearing his girl friend Molly's charm (which Ugo has placed on him purposely in order to rile Steve), wins the fight out of anger. Everything is worked out, however, and all ends happily.
