Synopsis

Dick Audaine, known affectionately as the Imp, is engaged to Phyllis Ericson, who really loves Dick's guardian, Richard Carewe. Dick falls in love with Kara Glynesk, who is only after his money. Phyllis intercepts a letter from Kara, believes it to be intended for Carewe, and is hurt. Carewe, trying to protect the Imp, does not deny that he is the intended recipient. Carewe and the "Trinity"--three life-long friends and self-appointed coguardians of the Imp--try, in vain, to stop the Imp's marriage to Kara. When Kara finds her husband to be penniless, she runs away with another man. The Imp realizes his folly, and Phyllis marries Carewe.
