Synopsis

Marietto, a stubborn little orphan, believes that it is his responsibility to select his own mother. From among the photographs in several magazines, he chooses Camilla, a beautiful ballerina. He runs away from the orphanage to find his adopted "mother" and begins following her everywhere. Despite Camilla's attempts to get rid of him, Marietto plagues her with his mischief. Fans and associates of Camilla believe Marietto is actually her illegitimate son, whom she had hidden in an orphanage. God, in the guise of an ill-tempered but generous and wise man, helps the boy out of his difficulty and unites Marietto with Camilla, who also takes on a man she loves as a husband and father.
