Synopsis
Franz Rossi, a Viennese composer, falls in love with Gretchen, a poor but sympathetic girl, and marries her. Later he composes an operetta, which is a tremendous success. He neglects his wife and has an affair with his leading lady; but his wife discovers his infidelity on the eve of the 150th performance of the operetta, and she leaves him. He realizes how much Gretchen means to him, and the next day he follows her to her hotel and effects a reconciliation.
