Synopsis

Jerry Marsden, disowned by his wealthy father, agrees to impersonate Roger Morrisey, a noted capitalist, and appears for him before a judge who is handing out jail sentences for speeding. In jail Jerry meets several bona fide millionaires. Meanwhile, he has fallen in love with Morrisey's sister, Ruth, who thinks him a thief but later learns of his innocence. An inventor interests Jerry in an invention, and Jerry persuades the others to form a company in the jail. The infuriated Morrisey exposes Jerry when he is liberated and tries to have him arrested on numerous charges. Ruth saves him by claiming she is the "R. Morrisey" referred to; the two are married, and Jerry's father buys the invention from his son's company.
