Synopsis

Sally Montgomery, daughter of a banker, is in love with Hayden Eaton, a sensible bank clerk, though Sally is uncertain because of her longing for "romance" and wants to be wooed in an exotic setting. A yachting trip with their friends Ambrose and Virginia is planned to the South Seas. Under the Southern Cross, Sally's romantic instincts are gratified by the beauty of the scene, and she induces Eaton to accompany her to a nearby island, which to their dismay is inhabited by cannibals. The disillusioned lovers are rescued by the party. Mrs. Montgomery then arranges a wedding at home (as Sally has been "compromised"), but their honeymoon apartment is divided by a line that neither will cross. In the end, frightened by an electric sign depicting a cannibal, Sally finds comfort in her husband's arms.
