Synopsis

Patrolman Jim Ryan falls in love with Alice Bennett, a dressmaker, only to realize later that she is a dead ringer for Dorothy Stone, a noted thief. When Jim is ordered to arrest Alice for Dorothy's crimes, he tells the captain that it would be a grave injustice, but the captain will not believe him. Jim is suspended from the force and sets out to bring Dorothy Stone before the law. Using Alice to impersonate Dorothy, Jim gets in touch with her gang. Dorothy is killed in a fight, and Alice is kidnaped. Jim goes after the abductor in a police launch and rescues Alice. Jim is reinstated to the force, and he and Alice are wed.
