Synopsis
Tessie, who is in charge of the cigar and candy counter in a large hotel, is engaged to Barney Taylor, an automobile mechanic. At Tessie's urging, Barney sells a car to Roddy Wells, the son of a wealthy widow. Mrs. Wells becomes attached to Barney, and out of spite Tessie accepts Roddy's attentions. Mrs. Wells goes to Tessie and tries to pay her to stop seeing Roddy. Tessie refuses. Barney shows up and, when Tessie will not forgive him, tries to get rough with her. Roddy also arrives, thrashes Barney, and carries Tessie off to a preacher.
