Synopsis
Unsuccessful suitor Albert Woodruff avenges himself by making it appear that he has been killed by his friend, Justin Victor, who won the hand of Ruth Allen. In fact, his double is murdered though Victor is sentenced for the crime. Years later, with the aid of his wife, Victor does kill Woodruff but is given his freedom on the grounds that he cannot be convicted twice for the same crime.
