Synopsis
Coya, a native Peruvian is deserted by her lover Watkins, an Englishman who finds a fortune in Peru. After Coya kills herself at the foot of the statue of the god Inti, her little boy Dorian is found by Lord Haviland who takes the child to England to raise as his own son. Grown to manhood, Dorian is troubled by visions of an Incan woman kneeling at the foot of an image. These visions interfere with his marriage to Violet, the daughter of Watkins, who had, upon his return to England, married a woman of aristocratic birth. Deciding to revisit the land of his birth, Dorian arrives in Peru where he is strongly attracted to Blanca, a Peruvian girl who is desired by the Inca chieftain Natcho. Furious at being repulsed, Natcho leads his tribesmen in an attack on the English visitors. In the ensuing battle, Violet and her father, who had followed Dorian to Peru, are mortally wounded. On his deathbed, Watkins confesses that he is Dorian's father, and thus freed of his mysterious attraction to Violet, Dorian marries Blanca.
