Synopsis
A claim jumper kills "Alabam"; and his partner, "Mendocino," sends Rosemary to his brother, Henry, in a southern city. Henry welcomes her, but his wife and daughter, Pauline, see her as an intruder, especially when young Tom Dowling, whom Mrs. Merridew seeks to match with her daughter, falls in love with Rosemary. Through efforts of the Negro servants, Chlo and Sam, Rosemary and Tom are united. Mendocino, who has struck it rich, comes to the wedding.
