Synopsis

Mary Kirk, a salesgirl engaged to George Weston, a man she does not love, loses her clothes in a bathhouse fire. Stuart Furth lends her the clothes of his worldly ex-friend Rita Morris, who, in a fit of jealousy, has the police raid the house. When Mary arrives home in the borrowed finery, her father suspects the worst and turns her out. Her sister Louise convinces Mary's fiancé to marry her, but when she learns of George's impending bankruptcy, she abandons him. Mary is forced by her parents to take Louise's place at the ceremony, but Stuart appears at the last moment and marries her himself.
