Synopsis

Documentary about the search for Bigfoot, or Sasquatch -- the 800-pound, ape-like creature said to stalk the forests of the Pacific Northwest. The program focuses on the four grand old men of Bigfoot hunting: Rene Dahinden, the Swiss-born eccentric inspired by stories of Nepal's abominable snowman in the 1950s; Peter Byrne, an Irish-Englishman who, in ascot and safari suit, has hunted Sasquatch in the United States since 1960; John Green, an adventurer who has collected more than 3000 sighting reports and was among the first to hunt Bigfoot at the California site of the controversial 1967 film that purports to show a fleeing Sasquatch; and Dr. Grover Krantz, a physical anthropologist from Washington State University, who has collected dozens of casts of Bigfoot's feet that he claims are real.
