Synopsis
Melissa Brennan, an emergency room nurse, has always respected her parents' happy marriage and idolized her father Ted. All that changes when she catches him in another woman's arms. Melissa keeps her father's indiscretion to herself but her mother Julia is bewildered by her daughter's sudden coldness towards Ted. Driven by disappointment, Melissa gets involved with Charlie Remmick and in spite of her father's disapproval, Melissa marries Charlie. Shortly after the wedding, Julia is brutally murdered. When the evidence points to Ted, Melissa, much to her family's dismay, agrees to testify against her father in court. Ted is devastated by his wife's death and his daughter's betrayal and never stops proclaiming his innocence. As the case against him comes to a close, Melissa uncovers shocking evidence that reveals that Ted is innocent and the murderer is someone she never suspected. Inspired by actual events.
